• $5,000 to Community Lodgings for 2nd-8th grade academic curricula.
• $2,000 to Reading Connections to purchase materials and books for Parent Workshops.

2007/2008 - Priority Gifts

• $20,000 to Hopkins House to support Parent Education Programs.
• $32,000 to Healthy Families Alexandria to support ten families enrolled in the HFA program.
• $20,500 to Success by 6/Chiquitos Playgroup to support the operation of the playgroup in Arlandria.

Developmental Gifts

• $5,000 to Boys and Girls Club, Alexandria-Olympic Branch to send low-income teens to visit Virginia colleges.
• $5,000 to Alexandria Neighborhood Health Services, Inc. to provide medications and other treatment to low-income uninsured children.
• $5,000 to Volunteer Emergency Families for Children to train four new host families to provide short-term shelter to at-risk Alexandria children.

• $32,000 to Healthy Families Alexandria to support ten families enrolled in the HFA program.
• $20,500 to Success by 6/Chiquitos Playgroup to support the operation of the playgroup in Arlandria

• $32,000 to Healthy Families Alexandria to support ten families enrolled in the HFA program.
• $16,500 to Success by 6/Chiquitos Playgroup to support the operation of the playgroup in Arlandria

2009/2010 - Priority Gifts

• $35,000 to Healthy Families Alexandria to continue support for ten families
• $15,000 to Center for Alexandria’s Children to support three playgroups and pilot approach to expand the playgroup model through Alexandria. Joint funding provided by ACT.

Developmental Gifts

• $10,000 allocated. Board will determine this allocation in September 2009.
